Etsy shop is stocked!

I just spent two days photographing most of my current stock and making etsy listings. It feels good to have it finally up & running!

I also put tons of photos of my work on my flickr page.

Whew!

Great new ribbon find!

I recently bought a large lot of antique mens hatband ribbons from Jennifer Osner. They're a rayon / cotton blend, with a beautiful sheen. Some of them have different color warp and weft threads which gives them a sharkskin look. Others have a slight moire, maybe from being tightly wrapped on the roll for a long time. They come in a delicious range of brown and green colors, a bunch of variations on cream, navy, and a little bit of gray and black. The color names crack me up, they're so masculine and outdoorsy, things like 'Light Snuff', 'Tree Tan', and 'Braken Brown'. There are also several military-sounding names like 'Commando Tan' and 'Gabardine'. So manly! This stuff is such a joy to work with, I've been making cockades like crazy. See my Etsy page for the first batch. Here's a photo of the stash.
